Step by step
from idea to visual identity

Briefing

Before we start designing, we need to clearly identify our goals. A profound investigation helps to avoid many corrections in the coming stages. To make an excellent visual identity, we need to determine the most important parameters of your brand. We will discuss the brand's target audience, analyze different examples of graphic styles, define your company's key values and create a set of references.

Moodboards

A moodboard is a collage of ideas (graphics, photographs, textures and other images), with a look and feel that matches our project. Depending on the logo package you select we will develop 1-2 moodboards showing different design styles. We will discuss them with you and choose one or multiple styles that will work for your business or brand.

Logo design

Once we have agreed on the style and art direction, we will move on to developing the logo. Sometimes it’s enough to draw just one version of the logo and then modify it as needed. And sometimes you need to compare 2-3 different concepts to be able to choose the best one for your company or brand. We determine the color palette, adjust the font and demonstrate the logo on different media. In addition, we create a set of different versions of the logo, so that it always works well regardless of the media's size and background color.

Basic kit: color palette and fonts

To make all your marketing materials (business cards, presentations, website etc.) look consistent and recognizable, you should at least use the same combination of fonts and colors on all media. Depending on the details of the project, we choose primary and secondary colors and fonts and provide recommendations on how to use them.

Recurring graphics, patterns and backgrounds

To make the corporate identity look more interesting and recognizable throughout all media, we can add illustrations, graphic elements, design backgrounds, patterns etc. Your designer will be able to use them when he/she creates layouts for web and print. With a brand style guide at hand, this will take less time, and the result will be more predictable than if you would design every individual layout from scratch.

Templates and print-ready layouts

Now that the visual identity is ready, you can start using it. We help you create media layouts such as business cards, flyers, letterhead templates, folders, envelopes, etc. so you can promote your business just like you had intended. We will also provide you with a detailed brand or corporate identity guide with great examples on using the visual identity on different brand assets.
